• Girls tennis earned a 5-0 Region win over Warren. Anna Poranski, Sophia Glance and Basil Bannister won in singles. In doubles, the tandems of Margaret Prichard/Finleigh Handzel and Sofia Falvo/Lilli Beuchert were victorious. 🎾
• Girls golf took second in their Region match at Whispering Woods. AnnaMarie Zinram led the Ramblers with a 39. Lindsay Armanini shot a 46, while Vanessa Melle shot a 52. ⛳
• JV girls volleyball fell to Corry, 2-0. 🏐

• Girls volleyball win of the season with a 3-1 win over Fairview. Olivia Hutchinson had 9 kills. Jenna Wagner had 7 kills. Maddie Simmerman, Kaylin Laird and Nikole McLallen all had 5 kills. Cecelia Campbell had 27 assists, while Hailey Sliker added 10 digs. 🏐
• A huge rally gave the girls tennis team a 3-2 victory over Fairview. Sophia Glance won in singles. Lilli Beuchert/Sofia Falvo won in three sets in doubles. Margaret Prichard/Finleigh Handzel also won in three sets, with their third set tiebreaker being the deciding match. 🎾
• Girls cross country won their Region cross country debut, 18-45, versus Meadville. Sarah Clark finished 1st overall. Anne-Catherine Brown was 2nd. Lauren Raimy and Helen-Ann McCormick finished 4th and 5th, respectively. The Ramblers rounded out the top ten with Allison Bender finishing 6th, Grace Barrett 7th, Caitlin Dugan 8th, Sarah Teed 9th and Fina Bannister was 10th. 👟
• Boys cross country made it a sweep over the Bulldogs, 15-50. Luke Brown was 1st. James Burkett placed 3rd. Noah Lata was 6th, while Ashton Sharma finished 7th. Grant McCarthy was 8th, Nick Kupniewski was 9th and Jeremai Pruczenski finished 10th. 👟

Welcome back, Ramblers! It was a great first day of school. Our opening assembly kicked off the year with a bang, as students took part in fun games and competition. The cross from Villa Maria Academy was also unveiled to the student body, where its permanent home will reside in the H. David Bowes Auditorium. • Girls soccer swept Warren. Varsity earned a 7-4 win over the Dragons. Olivia Dixon had four goals in the victory. Callie Cacchione scored twice, while Alexa Tojaga had the other tally. JVs picked up a 6-1 victory. Maddie McElhaney notched a hat trick. Paola Ayala, Maeve Melody and Maria Bruschi also scored. ⚽
• Boys soccer swept Nichols (NY) with a pair of shutouts. Varsity bested the Vikings, 3-0. Dylan Danch had a pair of goals, while Hayden Hutchinson also scored. Ethan Baker and Tyler Chermack combined for the shutout in goal. JVs picked up a 4-0 victory. Michael McDonald, Perkin Showalter, Max Johnson and Drew Donikowski all scored. Chermack got the shutout in goal. ⚽
• Boys golf inched closer to a Region title with a 22-stroke victory. Breckin Taylor was a medalist with a 74. Trey Thompson shot a 77. Matt Costa and Ryan Eastbourn each had an 81. Connor Laird carded an 83. The Ramblers have a seven-point lead with two matches remaining. ⛳
• Girls golf took second in their Region mega-match. Lindsay Armanini and AnnaMarie Zinram each led the way with a 46. Cecelia Morgan carded a 50. ⛳
• Freshmen football took Erie High, falling to the Royals 16-7. 🏈
Yesterday was Orientation Day!! It was so great to have students back on campus. Students had the opportunity to go to their classrooms, meet their teachers and get a glimpse of what the school day will be like. A special big welcome to the Class of 2026! Congratulations to Joey Spano ‘24. He has committed to play college baseball at Division I University of Pittsburgh on scholarship. Spano has been a two-year varsity starter, playing for the Ramblers as a 2nd baseman and shortstop. As a sophomore, he hit .302 while driving in 11 runs and having a fielding percentage of .935. • Girls tennis picked up two huge shutouts over the weekend. First, the Ramblers bested McDowell, 5-0. Anna Poranski, Annie Prichard and Sophia Glance all won in singles. The doubles tandems of Margaret Prichard/Findleigh Handzel and Lilli Beuchert/Sofia Falvo also won. They then defeated Magnificat (OH), 5-0. Poranski, Prichard and Glance won in straight sets in singles. Prichard/Handzel and Paige Belton/Beuchert took doubles in straight sets. 🎾
• Girls cross country placed eighth in the Red, White & Blue Classic. Sarah Clark was 20th overall. Anne-Catherine Brown finished 42nd, while Helen Ann McCormick finished 56th. Lauren Raimy took 62nd and Sarah Teed finished 88th. Caitlin Dugan was 102nd, while Grace Barrett was 108th. 👟
• Boys cross country also took part in the Red, White & Blue Classic, finishing 12th overall. Luke Brown took sixth overall, setting a new PR in the process. James Burkett was 47th, while Noah Lata took 102nd. Grant McCarthy, Nick Kupniewski, Jeremai Pruzenski and Ashton Sharma finished 107th, 122nd, 131st and 137th, respectively. 👟
• Football split their games over the weekend. Varsity picked up a big victory over West Toronto Prep (ON), 58-6. Carter Barnes had three touchdowns through the air: 45 yards to DaMario Crawford, 63 yards to Wakeem Page and 30 yards to Camariyon Bridges. Crawford also had an interception return for a touchdown. Suhtaun Lewis finished with seven carries for 101 yards and a score on the ground. Taijoun Williams had a 78-yard punt return for a touchdown. Dajoure Hollingsworth had two scores on the ground. JVs fell to St. Ed’s (OH), 26-0. 🏈
• Boys water polo took part in the Tiger Classic at North Allegheny, splitting their games. They were tripped up by Governor Mifflin, 9-5, before besting Cumberland Valley, 12-7. Mitchell Bradford had seven goals on the trip. Aidan Levis finished with six goals, while Callum Snider-Mills scored three times. 🤽♂️
• Girls water polo also participated in the Tiger Classic. They also finished 1-1 on the weekend. After losing 9-4 to Governor Mifflin, the Ramblers bounced back for an 11-9 win versus Cumberland Valley. Mia Shaughnessy had six goals total. Emily Consiglio had three goals, while McKenzie DiPlacido and Megan Cardella each scored twice. 🤽♀️
The Class of 2026, their families, faculty and staff gathered at the Hagerty Family Events Center this morning to celebrate their first mass as part of the Prep family. Chaplain Fr. • Boys soccer took on McDowell in a doubleheader. Varsity picked up a 1-0 shutout victory over the Trojans. Ethan Baker was stellar in goal, and Reece Johnson scored the lone goal off an assist from Dylan Danch. JVs took their game to a 1-1 tie. ⚽
• Boys golf added to their Region lead with a 19-stroke megamatch victory Thursday at Whispering Woods. Breckin Taylor was medalist with a 71. Trey Thompson shot an 80. Connor Laird shot an 84, while Matt Costa shot an 86. Ryan Eastbourn rounded out the scoring with a 90. ⛳
• Girls tennis shutout Erie High, 5-0, in their Region match. Anna Poranski, Annie Prichard and Basil Bannister won in singles. Lilli Beuchert/Sofia Falvo and Paige Belton/Laura Hetrick were victorious in doubles. The Ramblers host McDowell today at 4:00 p.m. 🎾
• Girls volleyball fell to Mercyhurst Prep, 3-1. Cecelia Campbell had 13 assists, while Hailey Sliker finished with 14 digs. Olivia Hutchinson had five blocks and five kills. 🏐
The Ramblers bounced back last week and notched their first win of the season in thrilling fashion against Clarkson North (ON). They look to make it two in a row tonight against West Toronto Prep (ON). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Dollinger Field.

• Girls golf won their Region 2 mega-match at Beechwood Golf Club. AnnaMarie Zinram led the way with a 39. ⛳
