AFJROTC cadets had the distinct honor of presenting the colors at the Erie Federal Courthouse during last Friday’s Naturalization Ceremony. Their sharp appearance, disciplined movements, and precise execution reflected the highest standards of the program and added a sense of dignity and respect to this meaningful event. As the colors were posted, the ceremony began with a powerful reminder of the values and traditions that unite all Americans.
The cadets’ participation helped highlight the importance of citizenship and service, as new Americans took the Oath of Allegiance and officially began their journey as citizens of the United States. For the cadets, it was a memorable opportunity to be part of such a significant occasion, reinforcing their commitment to leadership, patriotism, and community involvement while representing Cathedral Prep with pride. #Prep

Over the past four weeks, Fr. Jabo joined a group of guys to talk about vocations, discernment, and the priesthood. They met on a weekly basis over lunch and had the opportunity to learn and ask questions. We are grateful for Fr. Jabo’s witness to the priesthood and his commitment to vocations. #Prep #Faith ✝️

Our Cathedral Prep Dance Department recently traveled to Norfolk, Virginia to participate in the Regional High School Dance Festival hosted by the Governor's School for the Arts. Five of our dancers had the incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in a weekend dedicated to learning, growth, and connection within the dance community.
Throughout the festival, students participated in a wide variety of dance classes and workshops led by college faculty, guest artists, and professional dancers. They also took part in auditions for college dance programs and summer intensives, giving them valuable exposure to future educational and training opportunities. Events like this bring together hundreds of high school dancers from across the region to learn, network, and experience the possibilities that exist beyond high school dance.
One of the highlights of the weekend was attending a professional performance by BalletX, giving our students the chance to see world-class contemporary dance live on stage and gain inspiration from working professionals in the field.
We are incredibly proud of these dancers for representing our program with passion, curiosity, and professionalism. Opportunities like this help our students expand their artistry, explore future pathways in dance, and connect with the larger dance community. #CPDance

Student Council hosted the “Shamrock Showdown” for St. Patrick’s Day yesterday. Students received a small bag with a single green necklace, worth one point, in it during their first period. They then were able to challenge their classmates to a best out of three battle of “Rock, Paper, Scissors.” The winner walks away with all the necklaces, while the loser is out. After collecting a minimum of five green necklaces, students were able challenge a teacher for a gold necklace, which were worth two points each. Students who had 50 points between gold and green necklaces were able to participate in the “Ultimate Showdown” during ninth period with a chance to win a $50 gift card to Sheetz.
