We invite you to join us for a special Mary’s Day Alumni Luncheon at Cathedral Prep on Wednesday, May 20! Mary’s Day is one of the most cherished traditions in our school community, originating at Villa Maria Academy and continuing today at Cathedral Prep as a celebration honoring Mary, the Blessed Mother and patroness of our school. It’s a day rooted in faith and centered on the Magnificat and Mary’s humble “yes” to God’s will. The day is filled with traditions that generations of alumni remember.
We request RSVP for this event by TOMORROW, Wednesday, May 13. Alumni are invited back to campus for a Mary’s Day Ceremony Watch Party beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch in the Project Commons & Villa Maria Project Balcony. After the ceremony, the ladies and gentlemen of the 2026 Mary’s Day Court will join us, and we’ll hear a brief reflection from Principal Veronica Seip and President Kevin Smith. If you are unable to attend the watch party, you are welcome to join us for lunch at 11:30 a.m.
Come back, reconnect, and celebrate a tradition that continues to shape the heart of our school community! You may register here: https://boostmyschool.com/prep-villa-mary-s-day-alumni-reception-2026. #Prep #MarysDay

It is with deep sadness that we inform the Cathedral Prep community of the passing of assistant volleyball coach and Cathedral Prep alumnus Jordan Haas ’23. He was currently a student at Chatham University majoring in psychology and was a member of the men’s volleyball team. Jordan was a member of the inaugural boys volleyball team at Cathedral Prep, and he took great pride in helping the Ramblers grow and improve both on and off the court.

Last Wednesday, April 29, our stage came alive in more ways than one!
Our Spring Dance Showcase was not only a celebration of months of dedication, discipline, and artistry; it also took place on International Dance Day, making the evening even more meaningful. Around the world, dance is honored as a universal language, and our dancers embodied that spirit with every step, turn, and performance.
This year’s program highlighted a dynamic range of student and teacher choreography, showcasing both the creative voices of our dancers and the guidance of our program. The concert featured a variety of styles including musical theatre tap, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical, with solos, duets, and group pieces that brought depth and diversity to the stage.
From energetic musical theatre tap numbers that lit up the stage with rhythm, personality, and storytelling, to powerful contemporary and lyrical works that explored emotion and vulnerability, each piece offered a unique perspective. Our jazz pieces brought strength, precision, and performance quality, while student-choreographed works reflected individuality, creativity, and risk-taking.
The music selections added another layer of artistry, ranging from modern pop and acoustic tracks to theatrical soundtracks and expressive instrumentals, helping each dance communicate its own story and intention.
We are beyond proud of each and every dancer who shared their passion, vulnerability, and growth on stage. From standout group performances to solos and duets, the showcase reflected the heart of our program and the strength of our community.
A very special spotlight goes to our seniors, Taylor Mendes ’26 and Mischa Castello ’26. Your leadership, commitment, and evolution as artists have left a lasting impact on this program. We wish our seniors the best of luck as they continue with dance in college.
Thank you to our dancers, faculty, families, and supporters who made this night unforgettable. Dance continues to connect, inspire, and tell stories, and we are so proud to be part of that story. #CPDance #SpringShowcase 🩰💃
