On Friday, July 21, Reunion Weekend 2023 kicked off with over 350 alumni and guests gathered on Dollinger Field at the Hagerty Family Events Center to celebrate the classmates picnic! Members of the Prep and Villa classes ending in “3” and “8,” from the Class of 1953 to the Class of 2018, returned to reminisce and recount the cherished memories they created during their high school years.
Alumni made the most of the evening by enjoying food provided by Calamari’s, beverages under the beer tent, and field games. Prep and Villa classmates enjoyed looking over the wide variety of memorabilia set up inside the Events Center, including old school uniforms, yearbooks, and a slideshow featuring students and events at the schools over the years.
On Saturday, alumni were able to tour the campus and take in the renovations and new environment our current students learn in. Classes also held individual activities, including classmate-hosted picnics, dinners, and happy hours to name a few. Many who attended these events commented that it was a great way to reconnect with their Prep and Villa classmates from years past.
Mass and brunch were held in the H. David Bowes Auditorium and Salata Technology & Innovation Center to round out reunion events on Sunday morning, with Fr. Michael Ferrick ’90 celebrating. Music was provided by Michael Scanga. Alumni readers Julie Yochim Ferraro ’98VMA and Tom Dutkosky ’73 contributed beautifully to the Mass. After Mass, alums and their families enjoyed a breakfast catered by Calamari’s. 🔵⚪🟠⚫
